Heute möchte sich unsere wundervolle Patin/ Mentorin, Lorna Hartling, mit einem kurzen Video vorstellen. Lorna hat außerdem folgende Nachricht an Euch:
Ich glaube, dass sich alle Schüler*innen (und alle Erwachsenen) nach Frieden und Harmonie in ihrem Leben und miteinander sehnen. Besonders in diesen turbulenten Entwicklungsjahren verdienen und brauchen Schüler eine nährende Akzeptanz, so wie sie sind. Mit dem Netzwerk “Schule ohne Rassismus….” erhalten wir eine Struktur und die nötige Unterstützung, um durch die rauen Gewässer der Diskriminierung zu segeln – mit dem Ziel: Mut! Mut, sich gegen Diskriminierung auszusprechen und für Inklusion einzutreten. Mut kann und wird wahrscheinlich viele Formen annehmen. Dies ist keine kurze Reise und mag manchmal wie das Gegenteil von Frieden und Harmonie erscheinen, aber es ist der ehrliche Weg zu genau dem. Als Mentorin bin ich begeistert und privilegiert, jeden auf dieser Reise zu inspirieren. Als Mentorin habe ich die Möglichkeit, meine Position als professionelle Musikerin und Aktivistin für die Rechte der Menschen zu nutzen, um Konzerte, Spielevents, Kunstausstellungen und Theaterworkshops/Aufführungen zu organisieren, um nur einige Dinge zu nennen. Ich freue mich darauf, mit Euch allen zu lernen und mich weiterzuentwickeln, denn, wie wir vielleicht alle wissen, ist der Weg das Ziel.

This nationwide organization connects more than 3000 schools across Germany that are working against discrimination, bullying and violence. (https://www.schule-ohne-rassismus.org/)
Today, our wonderful mentor for the project, Lorna Hartling, is introducing herself with a short video. Lorna also would like to share the following message:
I believe all students ( and all adults) long for Peace & Harmony within their lives and with one another. Especially during these turbulent developing years, students deserve and need nurturing acceptance just as they are. With the network, „Schule ohne Rassismus….,“ we are given a structure and the support necessary to sail the harsh waters of discrimination towards our goal of courage! Courage to speak out against discrimination and stand up for inclusivity. Courage can, and will probably take on many forms. This is not a short journey and may at times seem like anything other than Peace and Harmony, however it is the honest path towards just that. As mentor, I‘m excited and privileged to inspire everybody on this journey. As mentor I have the opportunity to use my position as a professional musician and a peoples rights activist to organize concerts, game events, art shows and theater workshops/ performances, just to name a few. I look forward to learning and developing with you all because, as we might all know, the goal is not the end, but the process or path.
