Thank you for your interest in teaching at the John F. Kennedy School. JFKS is a German American public school governed by the Senate of Berlin and, therefore, bound to obey the regulations including the minimum requirements for teaching and administrative positions. These requirements are:
1. Three (3) years of full time, recent (within the last 5 years) teaching experience in a US public school at the level and in the subject area for which application is being made.
2. U.S. citizenship for American teachers and German citizenship for German teachers.
3. Subject certification in one of the 50 U.S. states or Washington D.C
4. Bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction for positions in Entrance Class through Grade 6
5. Master’s degree in the field of instruction for positions in grades 7 -12
