Liebe Schulgemeinschaft,
wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir nach den vergangenen Tagen davon ausgehen können, am Montag wieder in den regulären Schulbetrieb zu starten. In den meisten Bereichen läuft der Betrieb wieder stabil an, dennoch möchten wir Sie über einige wichtige Rahmenbedingungen informieren.
Das Hortgebäude ist wieder an das Stromnetz angeschlossen, und die Heizung läuft bereits an. Nach Rückmeldung des Heizungsverantwortlichen wird am Montag jedoch voraussichtlich noch nicht die volle Raumtemperatur erreicht. Wir rechnen derzeit mit maximal etwa 18 Grad. Aufgrund der in den kommenden Nächten erwarteten zweistelligen Minusgrade kann es sein, dass die Heizung im Hortgebäude an ihre Leistungsgrenzen stößt. Der Hort wird daher am Montag situativ entscheiden. Eine Lösung auf dem Schulcampus wurde bereits übermittelt.
In den Schulgebäuden läuft der Betrieb insgesamt wieder regulär an. Die Heizungen sollten dort bis Montag zuverlässig funktionieren, sodass die Räume ausreichend warm sein werden. In einem Bereich des grünen Gebäudes ist es aktuell noch etwas kühler; hier ist der Heizungsfachmann bereits eingebunden und arbeitet an einer Lösung.
Die Lüftungsanlage der großen Sporthalle ist wieder in Betrieb und trägt zur Erwärmung der Halle bei. In den Umkleiden der großen Sporthalle ist die statische Heizung jedoch weiterhin außer Betrieb (Rohrbruch im Außenbereich), weshalb es dort noch deutlich kühler sein wird. Aus diesem Grund ist derzeit noch nicht sicher, ob praktischer Sportunterricht in der großen Sporthalle am Montag möglich sein wird. Genauere Informationen können wir nach einer erneuten Prüfung am Montag geben. Für den Fall, dass Sportunterricht stattfindet, bitten wir darum, warme Sportkleidung (z. B. langärmlige Oberteile) mitzubringen.
Sehr erfreulich ist, dass die Reinigungskräfte heute wieder vollständig im Einsatz waren und alle Bereiche noch einmal gründlich reinigten. Auch der Sicherheitsdienst kann wieder in den Normalbetrieb übergehen. Darüber hinaus arbeiten alle IT-Systeme wieder erwartungsgemäß, sodass der Unterrichtsbetrieb technisch abgesichert ist.
Unabhängig davon bitten wir insgesamt darum, vorsorglich warme Kleidung mitzubringen, insbesondere für Bereiche, in denen die Temperaturen noch nicht vollständig stabil sind.

Dear JFKS Parents and Students,
We are very pleased that, after the past few days, we can assume that school will resume on Monday. Most areas are returning to stable operation; however, we would like to inform you about a few important conditions.
The Hort building has been reconnected to the power supply and the heating system is currently running. However, according to the heating supervisor, the required room temperature will likely not yet be reached by Monday. At present, we expect a maximum temperature of approximately 18 degrees Celsius. Due to the forecast of double-digit, sub-zero temperatures overnight, the heating system in the Hort building may reach its capacity limits. The Hort team will therefore make situational decisions on Monday. A solution on the school campus has already been communicated.
In the school buildings, operations are generally returning to normal. The heating systems there should be working reliably by Monday, ensuring that classrooms are sufficiently warm. One area of the green building is currently still cooler; a heating specialist is already involved and working on a solution.
The ventilation system in the large sports hall is back in operation and is contributing to warming the hall. However, the fixed heating system in the changing rooms of the large sports hall is still out of service due to a burst pipe in the outdoor area, meaning it will remain noticeably cooler there. For this reason, it is currently unclear whether regular physical education classes in the large sports hall will be possible on Monday. We will be able to provide more detailed information after another assessment on Monday.
Should physical education classes take place, we kindly ask students to bring warm sportswear (e.g. long-sleeved tops).
We are very pleased that the cleaning staff were fully on site yesterday and thoroughly cleaned all areas. The security service is also able to return to normal operations. In addition, all IT systems are functioning as expected, ensuring that teaching and learning are supported.
Regardless of this, we kindly ask everyone to bring warm clothing as a precaution, especially for areas where temperatures are not yet fully stable.
