2026 Ski Trip Update #2

We’ve passed the halfway point and we’re still smiling!

On the Slopes:

The advanced skiers have enjoyed their new teachers and have been practicing 360s, synchronized skiing and carving. A fan favorite we keep hearing about on the bus rides has been the gorgeous Jeep trail through the woods.

The former beginners are flying!  A few deserve huge praise for sticking with it while still in the exhausting stages of hiking up the hill and practicing turning and stopping. Overall, this is the strongest group of beginner students I have ever seen and we are so impressed by their progress. The students have put in incredible effort and have kept positive attitudes on the slopes. Mrs. Geary-Müller said her group has been especially great at helping others up when they fall and they’ve honed their skills enough to ski down black slopes!

Huge props to the students who have been ill and missed a day or two of skiing and jumped back in, catching up in their groups!

Off the Slopes:

Your kids have been mingling and hanging out with new friends in their free time, at meals and on our ski bus each day. As teachers, this makes us extremely happy!

On our first ski free day, students enjoyed hiking, shopping and a soccer tournament. They then spent the afternoon preparing for the room inspections by our highly qualified judges.“Everything was going great for us until Mr. Lang arrived” was a common sentiment as Mr. Lang discovered every piece of lint in the rooms. The students are already brainstorming how to wow the new judges for tomorrow’s room inspections.

Best thing we overheard this week: “I want to fail 8th grade so I can come on this trip again next year!”

Overall the kids are tired but happy and the teachers can say the same!
