Former JFKS student Max Kepler, now playing for the Minnesota Twins in the Major League Baseball (MLB) in the US, returned to his roots in Berlin on November 18th, 2019. Besides a warm welcome from current students and teachers, JFKS offered a one-hour baseball clinic, in cooperation with various local Baseball teams and coaches, with Max guiding the players and signing autographs for the fans.

This year’s 2020 Commencement (Graduation) Ceremony will take place on June 25th.

Graduates earning the Diploma, Abitur, or both, all participate and receive their documents and final 12th grade report cards on this day (if you are in doubt about what you are receiving, please see Ms. Mack).

All graduates will wear the traditional cap & gown and must complete this form.

Due date: Nov. 27th before 13:30.

Dear Parents of 3rd – 6th grade students,

As a reminder, on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, the Parent-Teacher Conferences for grades 3-6 are held between 12:30 and 17:00 as planned with your child’s homeroom teacher. Therefore, students in grades 3-6 will be dismissed at 12:20. All students will be supervised until 13:30 unless your child is picked up at 12:20 or is released to go home with your written consent at 12:20. Students enrolled in Hort will go to Hort at 13:30.

Grades EC – 2 have regular instruction and they will be released at 13:30 as usual.

wir möchten Sie daran erinnern, dass am Mittwoch, den 6. November 2019 die Eltern-Lehrerkonferenzen für die Klassen 3-6 in der Zeit von 12:30 bis 17:00 Uhr statt. Aus diesem Grund wird an diesem Tag nur bis zur 5. Stunde unterrichtet, so dass ab 12:20 Uhr für die Klassen 3–6 unterrichtsfrei ist. Alle Kinder werden bis 13:30 Uhr in der Schule beaufsichtigt, es sei denn Sie holen Ihr Kind an diesem Tag um 12:20 Uhr ab oder geben die schriftliche Erlaubnis, dass ihr Kind um 12:20 Uhr alleine nach Hause entlassen werden darf. Kinder, die im Hort angemeldet sind, gehen um 13:30 Uhr in den
Hort.

Die Klassenstufen EK – 2 werden wie gewohnt um 13:30 Uhr entlassen.

October 4 – Brückentag – school holiday

October 5 – 20 Fall Break / Herbstferien
