Das WK IV gemischte Basketball Team der Grundschule hat beim Turnier am 22. November mit 3-0 den 1. Platz belegt und sich damit für das Berliner Finale im Frühjahr 2017 qualifiziert.

ES Basketball team qualifies for Berlin Finals

The elementary school, WK IV mixed, basketball team finished first place at the tournament on November, 22. They went
3-0 on the day and in doing so they qualified for the Berlin finals, which will be held in the spring of 2017.

Honk! – Online Ticket-Reservierung für das HS Musical

Honk! ist eine musikalische Adaption des Märchens „Das hässliche Entlein“ von Hans Christian Andersen. Honk! erzählt die Geschichte des seltsam-aussehenden Entenkükens, Ugly, und seiner Suche nach seiner Mutter. Kurz nachdem Ugly geboren wird, lockt ihn eine listige Katze weg, die Ugly zum Abendessen verspeisen will. Ugly gelingt es schließlich zu entkommen, aber er weiß nicht, wie er zurück nach Hause finden soll und wandert umher auf der Suche nach seiner Mutter.

Das Stück enthält die starke Botschaft von Toleranz und Fairness gegenüber denen, die anders sind. Es eignet sich für Zuschauer von jüngeren Grundschülern bis zu Erwachsenen.

Tickets kosten €8 für Erwachsene und €6 für Schüler. Sie können Tickets online reservieren oder während der HS-Mittagspause Montag-Freitag (12:20-13:30) im Blauen Gebäude kaufen.

Vorstellungen sind am Freitag und Samstag während der ersten beiden Wochen im November (4, 5, 11, 12) um 19:00. Wir haben eine besondere Matinee-Vorstellung am Sonntag, den 6. November, um 14:00, und laden alle jüngeren Zuschauer ein, nach der Vorstellung auf die Bühne zu kommen und die Darsteller zu treffen. Alle Vorstellungen sind in der großen Aula.

Honk! is a musical adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen story, “The Ugly Duckling.“ Honk! tells the story of an odd-looking baby duck, Ugly, and his quest to find his mother. Soon after Ugly is born, he is seduced away by a wily Cat who wants to eat Ugly for dinner. Eventually, Ugly manages to escape, but has no idea how to return home so he wanders around looking for his mother.

The play includes a strong message of tolerance and fair treatment of those who are different. The show is suitable for viewers from young elementary to adult.

Tickets are €8 for Adults and €6 for Students. You may reserve tickets online or buy them in the Blue building during high-school lunch Monday – Friday (12:20 – 13:30).

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays the first two weekends in November (4, 5, 11, 12) at 19:00. We will have a special matinee on Sunday, 6 November, at 14:00, and will invite the young members of the audience to come onstage after the show to meet the cast. All performances will be in the Large Aula.

New Special Needs Coordinator at the ES: Maike Groth

Starting with the new school year, Frau Maike Groth will be our „Special Needs Coordinator / Sonderpädagogin“ for the Elementary School. She works at JFKS and at the SIBUZ (Schulpsychologisches-Inklusions-Beratungs-und Unterstützungszentrum) as well.

Elementary School / First Day of School on Monday, 22 August

Grades 1-6 start school on Monday, 22 August at 8:05 h.

Grades 2, 4 and 6 have the same classrooms as last year and can go there directly.

Grade 1: Teachers will meet the students inside the main gate and take the them to their new classrooms.

Grade 3: There will be tables with the new class lists and the new teachers outside.

Grade 5: The new class lists including homeroom teacher and classroom will be posted outside or in the red building entrance way.
