Physical Education/Sport Teacher (Female): Courses are for girls’ sports grades 7-12. Experience teaching gymnastics is a plus.

The John F. Kennedy School was founded in 1960, as a bilingual and bi-cultural, German – American public school. The school serves 1700 students in two buildings. The elementary school is made up of grades K – 6 and the high school contains grades 7 – 12. The student body is comprised of 57% Germans, 40% Americans and 3% international students. The school has a faculty of more than 150 teachers, including 75 Americans and 83 Germans. The high school has an American principal and a German principal as well as corresponding assistant principals. Minimum Requirements for American Teaching Positions

  1. United States citizenship
  2. Three years of full-time recent teaching experience in a U.S. public school at the level and in the subject area for which the application is being made
  3. Subject certification in one of the 50 U.S. states or Washington D.C.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction for positions in grades entrance class through 6
  5. Master’s degree in the field of instruction for positions in grades 7 through 12
  6. Willingness to learn German for positions in grades 4 through 12
  7. Willingness to serve an initial two-year contract
