HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER (Grades 7-12)
We are looking for a diverse pool of applicants. The ideal candidate has experience in creating a rigorous and challenging learning environment while maintaining a nurturing and supporting classroom atmosphere. Experience teaching Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus/Calculus is required; Statistics and AP experience and a certification in Education Technology is highly preferred.
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for individual differences.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects; and communicate these objectives to students.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
- Strive to implement, by instruction and action, the JFKS philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
- Assess the accomplishments of the students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and administrative regulations.
- Participate in professional development.
- Attend faculty meetings and be willing to serve on staff committees.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and community members.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have a valid US Teaching Certificate/License in the subject matter, as well as a minimum of three years teaching experience. Master’s degree required.
Rate of Pay: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
