| Rückkehr der 4. Klassen und Eingangklassen In dieser Woche sind die 4. Klässler und die Eingangsklassen zurück in die Schule gekehrt. Nach kleinen Unsicherheiten am ersten Tag, verlief auch hier alles reibungslos. Alle hielten sich sehr diszipliniert und verständig an die Abstandsregeln und Hygienemaßnahmen. Wir freuen uns in der nächsten Woche ab Dienstag die 2. und 3. Klassen zu begrüßen. Damit sind alle Schulklassen zumindest vorübergehend wieder in den Schulbetrieb eingestiegen. | Return of the 4th graders and Entrance Classes This week the 4th graders and the entrance class students have returned to school. After small uncertainties on the first day, everything went smoothly here as well. Everyone kept very disciplined and understood the rules of distance and hygiene. We are looking forward to welcoming the 2nd and 3rd classes next week starting on Tuesday. So all classes have at least temporarily returned to school. |
| Grundschule – Mittagessen In dieser Woche gab es täglich warmes Mittagessen für die Grundschüler/innen in einer Gabelbox. Toll, dass so viele Kinder daran gedacht haben, Gabeln von zu Hause mitzubringen, um Plastikmüll zu vermeiden! Danke! | ES – Lunches This week we had a daily warm lunch for the ES students in a to-go-box. It was great to see that many children remembered to bring forks from home to avoid plastic waste! | Nachricht an die 12. Klasse Wir möchten Ihnen ein Update zur Graduation 2020 geben. Zunächst möchten wir darauf hinweisen, dass wir alles tun, was wir unter den gegebenen Umständen tun können, um Ihnen einen denkwürdigen Abschluss Ihrer akademischen Jahre an der JFKS zu ermöglichen. Unsere Community hat sich kontinuierlich an diese einzigartige Situation in der wir uns befinden angepasst, und uns mit ihrer Flexibilität, Belastbarkeit und Tatkraft stolz gemacht. So oder so, auf die eine oder andere Art und Weise wird Ihr Schulabschluss gefeiert werden! Wenn es die Umstände erlauben, werden wir unsere Veranstaltung für die Abschlussklasse 2020 hier an der JFKS abhalten. Familie und Freunde werden nicht teilnehmen können. Stattdessen werden wir entweder einen Live-Stream oder genügend Bilder und Videos von der Veranstaltung zur Verfügung stellen, damit die Gäste das Gefühl haben, dass sie teilgenommen haben. Falls eine Zusammenkunft der Abschlussklasse an der JFKS überhaupt nicht möglich sein sollte, werden wir uns mit Ihnen wegen des Zeugnisses und der Abholung des Diploms/Abi in Verbindung setzen. In jedem Fall erstellen das Graduation-Komitee und andere Freiwillige ein Video für die Graduating Class of 2020. Dieses Video wird die Musik und Bilder aller Absolventen, einige Worte der Schulleitung, Lehrer und vieles mehr enthalten… Wenn Sie Ihre Musik und/oder Bilder noch einschicken müssen, schicken Sie bitte eine E-Mail an Justine Pedussel. First, please know that we are doing everything we can, under the circumstances, to give you a memorable finish to your academic years at JFKS. Our community has been continuously adapting to the unique situation we find ourselves in, and in this, you have made us so proud of your flexibility, resilience, and drive. One way or another, some form of celebrating your Graduation will happen! If circumstances allow, we will hold our event for the Class of 2020 here at JFKS. Family and friends will not be able to attend. Instead, we will either have a live stream or enough pictures and videos from the event for guests to feel like they attended. If a physical gathering of the graduating class is not at all possible at JFKS, we will be in contact with you about the report card and Diploma/Abi pick up. In any case, the Graduation Committee and other volunteers are creating a Graduating Class of 2020 compilation video. This video will include every graduates’ music and pictures, some words from the administration & teachers, and more… If you still need to send in your music and/or pictures, please email Justine Pedussel. | Nachricht von der Grundschul-Bücherei Nur eine freundliche Erinnerung an die Buchausleihe und Buchrückgabe. Ressourcen der Bibliothek Bibliotheksbenutzer müssten das Google-Formular ausfüllen, um die benötigten Bücherei-Artikel anzufordern. Bitte füllen Sie im Formular die erforderlichen Felder aus, einschließlich: Name der Person, die die Materialien ausleiht, Titel und Autor für jeden Artikel Verwenden Sie den Bibliothekskatalog, um nach den gewünschten Büchern zu suchen und auch, um zu überprüfen, ob die Bücher ausgeliehen sind. Notieren Sie den Buchtitel, den Autor und die Signatur. Denken Sie daran, dass in der Warteschleife befindliche Bücher möglicherweise eine Zeit lang nicht mehr zurückkommen. Nehmen Sie dann diese Informationen und geben Sie sie in das Google-Formular ein. Die Büchereimitarbeiter werden die Anfrage bearbeiten, die Materialien ausleihen oder die zurückgelegten Bücher ausleihen oder erneuern. Auf jeder Anfrage wird der Name der anfragenden Person über den Gegenständen stehen. Alle zurückzusendenden Gegenstände müssen in die Box “Buchrückgabe” eingeworfen werden, die sich im gleichen Bereich “Materialsammlung” befindet. Hier ist ein Link zum Google-Formular. Wir sind für Sie da und möchten Ihnen weiterhin helfen. | News from the ES Library Just a friendly reminder about book checkout and book return. Library Resources Library users would need to complete the Google Form to request the library items needed. In the form please complete the required fields including: name of the person checking out the materials, title and author for each item. Use the library catalog to search for the books you want and also to check to see if the books are checked out. Write down the book title, author and call number. Keep in mind that books on hold may not come back for a while. Then take that information and type it into the Google form. The library staff will process the request, checkout the materials or place holds or renew items and once the items are ready, they will be brought down to the “Materials Collection” area downstairs near the Welcome area of the Elementary School. Then an email will be sent to the person making the request notifying them that the items are ready to be picked up. Each request will have the name of the person requesting on top of the items. All items to be returned need to be deposited into the “Book Return” box that is now located in the same “Materials Collection” area. Here is a link to the Google Form.
