The Men´s Chorus/Barbershop activity for boys in grades 9 through 12 at JFK has been a popular one for years and even decades. The young men rehearse and perform in a variety of styles, including the American style of “barbershop”, which involves close 4-part harmonies in à cappella settings. An audition/interview with the director is required. Extra performances are often requested, and a healthy use of the vocal mechanism is emphasized.
