Public Transportation

BVG (Berlin Public Transportation)
Berlin public transportation including bus, subway (U-Bahn) and city train (S-Bahn) is safe and reliable. Many students take it by themselves before and after school. The nearest train station is S-Bahnhof Zehlendorf (Line S1), the nearest bus stops are Schönower Park (Bus 285) and Schweizerhofpark (Buses 285 and X10); both stops are located directly in front of the school on both sides of the ramp.

Monthly BVG Student Ticket
Effective August 1, 2019, all Berlin students are eligible to receive a FREE monthly student ticket (FahrCard). To obtain these monthly tickets, students need a scanned passport picture and a school ID. Both items must be uploaded online using this BVG website.

From August 1 until November 30, 2019, students may use public transportation without the student ticket card (FahrCard) if they carry a valid student ID. Beginning December 1, 2019, a FahrCard is required.

Tickets are valid for four years unless the student turns 16 during the school year. In this case, proof of student status in form of a valid student ID must be resubmitted to the BVG website.

Student IDs are available at the ES and HS office. A passport picture is required for the office to make the ID.
