Benjamin Rubloff, an art teacher in the high school, will give a talk about his new book, When I was there, which presents his paintings alongside writings that explore the poetics of change, transformation and remembrance in the city. It is an intimate portrait of the city from the perspective of an American artist who has made Berlin his home. The book was completed during his sabbatical with a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
